Christ Church is a church for the whole family and we welcome all ages into the service. That said, it can be hard for young ones to sit through a whole service, so we have a number of ways to keep them happy.

Sunday Club
At Christ Church, we feel it is important for children to learn about God’s love, and the best way for them to do this is through stories and fun activities tailored to their age. So, we have three groups for children. Read more…
Activity Boxes
We have a selection of activity boxes at the back of church to keep children busy whilst in the service. These vary from box to box, but typically contain colouring books, paper, activity books and pencils. Please feel free to pick up a box before the service (ask a sidesperson to point them out), and do return it to the back at the end (but feel free to take home your finished pictures). If you choose to become a regular at the church, you can write your name onto your box to ensure you get the same one each week. There is also a selection of books for younger children at the back, again, ask a sidesperson to point them out if you are unsure where to go.
Under 3s
The very young can be the hardest to keep occupied, but please be assured that the church will not mind a bit of noise from them. If they become too restless, we do have a crèche area in the lounge with a selection of toys where they can make plenty of noise! The toys will be set out throughout the service, and there will be CRB-checked helpers to look after your children during Sunday Club meeting times. You are welcome to leave your children with them, or you can of course stay within the crèche and listen to the service streamed direct to the lounge.
Older Children
We welcome older children to help out in the services in the same way we encourage adults. With this in mind, the Excel group does not meet on the fourth Sunday of the month.
